*waves* Marca Rutilia Severa here in the valley of the Connecticut River; a town called Sunderland.

I'm 52, married, am a former Marine, have two sons one going to UCONN the other finishing 6th grade, and a cat.

I'm an ordained Priestess and Bishop of the Universal Gnostic Fellowship, a follower of the revivalist Druid path via the AODA.

I'm quiet, as I am sure you all know. I don't say anything much unless I feel it is worth saying or hasn't already been covered by someone else.

I practice voluntary simplicity; drive as little as I can manage, go by shank's mare or bicycle whenever practicable, put everything electric on power strips that can be shut off, replaced everything with energy efficient bulbs, shop locally for as much as possible, and are entirely out of debt as of this month. Its an ongoing process.

I'm in the SCA, have been for...well, more than 30 years. I fight heavy list although not as much as I once did. I have taken up martial arts again after a 20 year lapse.

Myself and three others are slowly coalescing the Second Legion Adiutrix Pia Fidelis; some of us will be capable of actually appearing in public with our kit by Spring. A slow and expensive project that has been.

Mmmm...www.oakstone-keep.com is my website which has the Legio info on it and other things too.

That's all I can think of, aside from saying hello from the western regions of the Regio Massachusetts.

Thank you for such a lovely intro!

Will you be able to attend any of the upcoming provincial events?

Unlikely on the whole as I do not drive if I can avoid it; a combination of living more simply on the land and reaction from being run down by a car while in a crosswalk almost three years ago now...which accident makes living simply in this manner far more easily achieved.

We had been considering trying to go to the Roman day later this month but can't commit to it as we wouldn't know for certain until just before hand; one of my legionaries would drive us out there if so.

One never knows what the future holds but it is more likely to be a rare appearance outside of this valley at best. Even within the valley I tend not to go South of the Holyoke Range unless I have to.

Salve Severa,
Welcome to the Forum and thank you for subscribing. We recently added a Religio Romana topic which might interest you. I hope so. And it would be tremendous if you were able to attend the ALL ROMAN Day on the 24th.

Bene vale

Thank you for the welcome. I noticed the Religio Romana topic, yes, thank you. Smiley

As I say, we won't know if we can get out there for a bit yet; most of us here have a hard time planning very far in advance, one of the drawbacks to the sorts of work some of us do. We'd like to but there are no guarantees one way or the other.
